Map of the Complexity Sciences
Brian Castellani’s May 2026 edition provides an unusually useful feature: its map entries are clickable. All 307 outward references are retained below exactly as the source publishes them, without claiming they are all current or correctly attached.
How to read this copy
Clickable does not mean correct. These are source-published outward references, not verified Tangle citations. The current HTML contains visible label disagreements and at least some apparent label/destination mismatches. We expose them for correction rather than silently rewriting another map.
The map’s drawn lines remain visible in the source image but do not state a relation type. We preserve the complete picture and all clickable areas, but do not manufacture edge endpoints or meanings from pixels.

What Nigel’s gap pass added
Seventeen applied-complexity domains absent from the then-current Tangle and from the Map of Systemic Evolution were registered as research stubs: public health, healthcare, computational and digital social science, qualitative and applied complexity, geography, management and planning, psychology and systems theory, social systems theory, evolutionary game theory, graph theory, scaling, computational science and biology, computational complexity theory and big data.
Each has only a documentary “appears in this comparator” relation. Appearance is not evidence of influence or importance. The current 307-link edition is newer than the 300-entry edition used for that gap analysis, so the old overlap totals are not presented as current facts.
