Summary

Different accounts may expose a disagreement about what is happening, what matters, or whose action is possible. SSM uses declared worldviews and models to structure inquiry; CSH questions the facts and values made relevant by a boundary. These are distinct ways of working with differences.

Implications for practice

An inquiry needs to test alternative accounts and allow them to challenge its framing. That test may justify keeping the original question, changing a proposed action, or exposing a conflict that still requires a decision.
